The international community explores the cliffs of Muskiz during a day of cultural integration

- The activity brought together twenty-seven people of twelve different nationalities, all of whom are currently developing their professional careers at Basque organizations.
On the 10th May Bizkaia Talent organised a walk along the Itsaslur cliffs as part of its initiatives to promote the sociocultural integration of international professionals in the province. The activity, included within the framework of the “Relocation & Be Basque Dual Career Centre” service, was attended by 27 people of diverse nationalities.
The participants, who come from countries such as Colombia, Russia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, India, Iran, Hungary and Italy, as well as from different regions of the Spanish State, were able to enjoy a three-kilometre walk along a stretch of the old mining railway route.
During the course of the walk, which forms part of the Green Route of the Iron Mountains and the Coastal Route of the Santiago Way, the participants discovered traces of the industrial past of the area and of the traditional activity of seaweed collection, while enjoying magnificent views over the Cantabrian coast.
Amongst the organizations represented in the activity were the UPV/EHU public university, BCAM – Basque Center for Applied Mathematics, BC3 – Basque Centre for Climate Change, Ikerbasque, Deusto University, Zetrack, Urbegi, Bolloré Logistics, Mosaikus, Walter Pack Group, ITP Aero, Zerua Tech and Aery Bizkaia.
The day ended with a group meal in a local restaurant on La Arena beach (Pobeña), bringing an end to a day of nature, culture and coexistence.
