The pride of every Bilbanian and Biscayan is our Football Team “Athletic Club de Bilbao” which they love and adore. Its history is more than a legend, with a unique philosophy, which makes their supporters be different from the rest, considering themselves a big red and white family.
Athletic is more than a football team, is part of our culture and part of our history. And it is also part of the past and current football history, not only because of their philosophy of young talents, but also because of their method of understanding, in a transverse way, how a football player becomes a professional player. Owing to all these peculiarities, each season teams all over the world come to learn their know-how.
Therefore, we invite you to visit two key and emblematic facilities for the development of the young football talents. On the one hand, you will meet the iconic “Lezama” where all the teams, from juniors to the professional ones train every day. On the other hand, the “Mañarikua” residence hall, located in Derio, where the eldest boys and girls from outside of Bizkaia live and study meanwhile they are trained to become professional football player.
