Bizkaia Talent launches the Headhunting Support Centre tool aimed at Basque organizations for attracting, retaining and developing talent

  • Organizations registered with Bizkaia Talent and the Be Basque Talent Network will be able to consult trends, salaries and tax benefits in the Basque labour market and carry out comparisons with other countries and regions, as well as counselling on the type of profiles and related skills which are currently most in demand

Bizkaia Talent has launched a globally unique digital tool, the Headhunting Support Centre (HSC), aimed at helping human resources professionals in Basque organizations in their staff recruitment strategies, not only in terms of obtaining highly qualified talent which matches their needs, but also to streamline processes and resources and provide assistance in career development plans.

By means of handling millions of data obtained by the Basque Talent Observatory, another Bizkaia Talent tool, Basque organizations will be able to see the employment posts which are most in demand in the labour market, the transversal and technical skills required and their evolution over time, even by sector. All of this data displayed is the result of the analysis of over 35,000 employment offers for the highly qualified in the Basque Country over the last 24 months. Furthermore, it will also be possible to help professionals in the development of their career plans by showing them the skills that the highly qualified labour market is demanding for each profile.

The HSC will also make it possible to analyse forecasted trends in the need for highly qualified professionals with university degrees in the Basque labour market over the next four years with numerous combinations by both sector and field of education.

The tool also provides access to detailed information about tax exemptions which could be applicable to the professionals that the organizations are planning to hire if they have been resident outside the Spanish State for a period of at least six years.

The HSC’s automatic matching system will automatically link up company job offers with the best candidates in a matter of seconds. However, should the headhunter prefer to search for profiles independently, s/he will be able to do this by means of a high-tech search engine which will scan in a matter of milliseconds the profiles of the 12,500 professionals resident in over a hundred countries who are currently registered on the Bizkaia Talent platforms to seek out the desired profile.

Registered users will have access to a specific section about salaries where they will be able to consult the average gross and net rates for salaries in the Basque labour market (by sector, sub-sector, post and experience) and to compare these rates with those on offer in the main cities in the Spanish State as well as in other countries in Europe and the rest of the world, in the latter case taking into account cost of living factors.

Finally, it should be pointed out that the tool will enable the user to compare well-being in the Basque Country with that of any other country or region in the European Union (EU) as well as with the regions of the countries belonging to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), providing indicators such as education, accessibility, housing, healthcare, disposable income and environmental issues amongst others, thus revealing a realistic portrait of the Basque Country in terms of life quality in both the working and non-working environments. This is undoubtedly a key factor in terms of attracting talent to a given place and organizations can take these comparisons into account when attempting to attract people to specific regions. Organizations can thus have an ad hoc offer for candidates and put a value on the place where they live and work.

Mr Ivan Jimenez, the Managing Director of Bizkaia Talent, stresses the support which this tool will provide to organizations in ensuring that they obtain the best candidates: “The Headhunting Support Centre puts us once again at the global forefront in terms of regional management of highly qualified talent, by making available to Basque companies a technology which provides them with information with high added value, regarding the recent past, the present and the future as a factor in the international competitiveness of our nation in the battle for top talent”.
