Bizkaia talent organizes a new meeting with highly-qualified Basque professionals from the area of Copenhagen
The Association to attract, retain and link talent to Bizkaia-Basque Country organized a meeting with highly-qualified Basque professionals residing in the area of Copenhagen last 20 May. The meeting of bizkaia talent took place in the Soho–Noho Conference Centre, situated in the Verstebro neighbourhood of Copenhagen, where the managing director of the organization, Ivan Jimenez, described the current situation and the futures prospects of employment in the Basque Country for highly-qualified professionals.
The association promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, aware of the importance of generating and developing work and collaboration networks at the international level, held a professional meeting with Basque men and women residing in the area of Copenhagen. “This is the fourth talent meeting which has taken place this year and the aim is to learn about the concerns and the situation of the Basque people who reside in the area of Copenhagen. The event was attended by 23 talents who work in various sectors and hold various degrees” Jimenez explained.
Likewise, there was an exchange of ideas about the development of the Be Basque Talent Network and about the possibilities of developing collaboration networks of professionals who are currently living in this area of Copenhagen and other professionals as well as the possibilities of their returning to the Basque Country.
The managing director explained that these meetings intend to foster and promote networks among Basque men and women who are carrying out their professional activities abroad for them to maintain a proactive and constant link with the Basque Country.
The Be Basque Talent Network is the professional network which brings all the highly-qualified professionals who are o want to be connected with the Basque Country together. At present it is made up of more than 7,500 professionals who work in more than 80 countries in the world and more than 180 Basque organizations.
The Be Basque Talent Network wants to become the largest network of highly-qualified professionals who are or want to be linked to the Basque Country, irrespective of their origin. Through this network the aim is to encourage the movement of talent and establish contacts and business relationships between those professionals and Basque organizations that share the link to the Basque Country.
“Throughout the year 2016 we have held this type of event in some of the most important talent attraction hubs in the world, such as Boston, Helsinki, Amsterdam and now Copenhagen. In the near future we will also go to Hamburg and London amongst others” the managing director concluded.
