The university students of the Talentia Skills and Be Basque Ambassadors programmes receive their diplomas

  • The young students have received the certificate accrediting that they have completed both programmes.

With the academic year drawing to a close, Bizkaia Talent has awarded diplomas to the university students who, over the academic year 2022-23, have completed the Talentia Service programmes: skills for professionalism – Talentia Skills and Be Basque Ambassadors.

Participating at the event were Ainara Basurko (Councillor for Economic Promotion of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia), Fernando Tapia (Vice Rector of Students and Employability of the UPV/EHU University of the Basque Country), acting as host on this occasion since the event was held at the Engineering School of the UPV/EHU, Jesus Riaño (Director of Deusto Alumni at Deusto University), Nekane Errasti (Coordinator of Engineering of the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon University), Idoia Postigo (Managing Director of the Association Bilbao Metropoli-30), Carlos Alzaga (College of Civil Engineers of Euskadi), Ramón Vitorica (College of Chemists and Chemical Engineers) and Iñaki Ruiz (College of Economists).

The Provincial Councillor emphasised that Talentia Skils and Be Basque Ambassadors “are a reflection of the commitment of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia towards the development of talent and the training of our youngsters. Today, we celebrate not only the achievement of our students, but also the success of these programmes and the promise of a brilliant future for Bizkaia”. She also highlighted the fact that both programmes “bring the students closer to the labour market and encourage reflection on their future professional careers”.

The Managing Director of Bilbao Metropoli-30 also took the floor to congratulate the Talentia Skills participants for their progress in the programme, while the Managing Director of Bizkaia Talent, Ivan Jimenez, closed the event by reporting on the excellence grants currently offered by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and presenting the digital tool Career Development Centre, Bizkaia Talent’s tool which is equipped with personalised advice capacity for the development of professional careers.
